About Us

Pembrokeshire Paragliding is a BHPA School committed to the
safe progressive tuition of paragliding within the framework
outlined by the British Hang gliding and Paragliding Association.

We are a small, friendly school where we guarantee you an
unforgettable experience during which you are sure to meet many
friendly, interesting fellow pilots.

We conduct the majority of our training in the Preseli mountains in Pembrokeshire. The Preseli's are unique to our knowlege, in that they offer multiple different training sites within a few kilometers radius. Whereas with many paragliding schools, should the wind change direction it would necessitate a potentially long drive to relocate to another site, suitable for the new wind direction, this is not true of the Preseli's where often a short walk presents a different slope ideal for the new direction. This makes us far more flexible and able to adapt to changes in conditions. In addition to the benefits of the Preseli's we have permission to operate on several of the sites of the Mid Wales Paragliding Club, as well as all the sites run by the South West Wales Club, so we can chose from a vast area and like to take our students to a wide variety of different sites to give them them the widest experience base possible before qualification.
 We are one of the only schools in the UK with access to several beautiful beaches where we can conduct training, flying from the dunes. This means we can conduct training when it would otherwise be far too windy in the mountains. Often we will finish a days beach training with a barbecue and canoes will be available for our students use should they wish to play in the surf.
 We are the only school in the UK to offer such a wide range of 'back up' activities'. Students have free use of our other leisure equipment, such as - Sea Kayaks, Sit on top Kayaks, Sailing Dinghy's and Power Kites and Rc model aircraft. This makes us an ideal choice for your family holiday-learn to fly whilst your children have the time of their lives, playing on the local beaches.
