The Day Taster course is designed to introduce the total novice to the joys of paragliding for the first time. Starting with kit familiarisation and safety briefing,
you will then move on to learning how to inflate and control your canopy before progressing to making brief, low level flights.
The gentle gradient of the Preseli's make it possible to gradually increase the height of your flights as your confidence grows.
By reducing the stress of progressing from 'beginner slopes' to 'higher flights' we believe we enable you to be more relaxed and focused on your glider controls.
Also the proximity of a beautiful local beach enables us to conduct really
effective 'groundhandling' training when it would otherwise be
too windy.Sometimes the Day Taster will involve all preliminary briefings and glider launch and control exercises being conducted on the beach during the day, before travelling up to the mountain in the late afternoon as the wind eases.
Be sure to wear a sturdy pair of boots with lots of ankle support, dress appropriately for a day in the mountains, and remember to bring food and plenty of fluids.
The Day Taster Course counts towards your Elementary Pilot qualification.
Should you decide to commit to the Elementary Pilot Course, the cost of your Day Taster will be deducted from it.
